Greetings Cosmic Entity.
Welcome To My About Page.
Who Is This Kainelius?
Personally, I’m a quiet soul with a psychologically raging mind. Much like Radagast the Brown, I find greater peace within the natural world and its inhabitants (I’m also a hardcore introvert) & all too like the Hobbits, no stranger to pipe weed.
I often consider myself to be among the strangest organisms lurking the dead of night, often very proud to be. I’m sure this blog will reflect it.
Honesty. I do love honesty here. On paper, I may not be the most intellectual, the most well-spoken or the most experienced on these topics. But what i see as my superpowers is very much in the way i’ve always approached these topics, my ideologies. My willingness not to disregard the unfathomable whilst not chaining myself to beliefs with no sufficient evidence.
When thinking in terms of possibilities, my mind knows no limits.
In the realm of plants & medicines, Cannabis is where my true passion lies; it wouldn’t be a surprise if cannabis becomes a recurring character here, among many other far more mysterious plant medicines. (which is my main focus)
Magical fungi and other natural psychedelics, along with their dealings, have bewitched my mind for well over a decade; still, I cannot claim myself to be a creature of great psychedelic knowledge or experience, yet.
Outside of my plant interests, my dreams and aspirations usually seem very rooted in wild adventure. Discovering the strangest lands, lifeforms, and people of this age is where my mind likes to linger. I’m an adventurer by nature.
The vision
My goals in starting this venture are to bring entertaining stories and valuable information about these exceptional tools for consciousness. To create a space where I can share and expand on my interests, and give people a platform to learn and discuss these topics freely.
In a niche so steeped in misinformation, the importance of continuing to resurrect psychedelic topics from the shadows of society seems like a spaceship worth boarding.
Nature of the blog (many psychedelic ramblings)
I’ve always felt deeply captivated by the mystifying realms of psychedelics since childhood. There is clearly great magic to be discovered within the natural world and ourselves. I believe psychedelics can help us rekindle some of this magic. (Especially in today’s society) Having alcohol fill our supermarkets but no psilocybin is humanity’s greatest fumble if you ask me!
Humanity, along with our more in-tune neighbours in the animal kingdom, has been exchanging untold benefits with the plant kingdom since our relationship dawned. Obviously, this extends far beyond my pockets of interest for this space.
Has anyone else thought about the striking parallels between psychedelic plants and the ocean before? Cascaded in mystery, a slow-developing understanding, an unseen network of deeply complex connections and most importantly, barely discovered.
Jungle Thoughts
The most unreachable, undiscovered, and most hostile pockets on planet earth, I speculate, would yield us the biggest treasure trove of benefits and answers. Shout-out to Paul Roslie for reference and his adventures to dreamy yet terrifying floating forests resting atop black, watery depths uncharted by man, lost in the most forgotten and forbidden corners of the Amazon rainforest. And his encounters with the unimaginable vegetation & 25ft anacondas!
He didn’t find any new life-changing drugs, but just imagine what else could be hiding in places like that! I feel we’ve barely scratched the surface when mapping the natural world. (Mother of God is the name of his book, a very compelling and addictive read; you’ve been warned!)
Back To The Plants
Humans have always been fascinated by altered states of consciousness, with no signs of losing interest. And I don’t believe people should be told not to do drugs; instead, I think people should be properly educated on how to interact with drugs and have total freedom over self-exploration.
Plants have an intelligence, and we have some ability to communicate with this. It’s obvious our current drug education system is broken, and the laws that accompany it. Which I feel damages humanity’s potential and honestly feels almost insulting to these profoundly powerful plants.
In the words of the great Dennis McKenna, “The reason drugs work is because we’re made of drugs.”
(The word “Drugs” is a wildly loose term, and maybe we should, as a society, separate them into different words entirely? Or at least sub-categories of drugs?)
I believe psychedelics should be available in every corner of the globe and be easily accessible to anyone who may benefit. Making nature illegal has never sat right with me. These mystical plants are extremely powerful tools for consciousness, demanding your respect and full attention. I believe psychedelics have and still can play a vital role in human development.
This universe of topics is highly complex and diverse around all the edges: still, the fact remains that, as beneficial and magical as psychedelics can be, they can pose dangers to those who know nothing of their nature, or even those who do. (Psychologically, at least, I’ve never heard of anyone dropping dead after one too many mushrooms, and most other psychedelics, given the right safe use! And without some other deadly interference.)
I feel that no matter your understanding or experience, it’s wise to pursue the understanding of a collective of professionals before embarking on any such adventures. I feel that most people could benefit from such experiences, given the right knowledge, environments and mindset. (There are always expectations in life!)
Psychedelics are certainly not for everyone, and everyone reacts differently to each compound, so riding along these avenues with a side of caution can do you no wrong. Navigating such realms induced by psychedelic plants can be a tricky venture of the psyche, yet profoundly valuable experiences commonly occur.
Just a mere monkey man here.
I’m no expert, certainly no intellectual plant guy, not even an experienced psychonaut. Just an adventurer like you, who sees the world as it is, full of magic and mystery, I’m just here to explore it and share my thoughts and discoveries.
Being just an evolved monkey myself, I’d very much appreciate it if you, my fellow junglemen, would enlighten me on any misinformation I may accidentally display on this site. A monkey can do his best, but he’s only a monkey at the end of the day. Knowledge is not polished by one man alone, but by a collective of many.
Make Psychedelics Celebrated Again
Kainelius, huh, how the tunic do you pronounce that, you wonder?
Well, similar to this hunky 1st-century man from the TV show Plebs. Aurelius
